Fungus can be found throughout Zimbabwe and range from edible to poisonous species.

Fungus can often be found on dung - and it is helpful in breaking this down so it can be used by the soil to replenish lost nutrients. It is also found on rocks and on trees stumps and branches.

Some Zimbabwe fungus are edible but it is unwise to attempt to eat any fungus unless you are completely certain it is not poisonious.
